Cookie Salad

Serves 8-10

1 cup buttermilk
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding mix
1 8-oz. container whipped topping -thawed
1 pkg. "striped shortbread cookies"
1 20-oz. can pineapple tidbits -drained
2 11-oz. cans mandarin oranges -drained
1 cup mini marshmallows -optional

Mix buttermilk and dry pudding mix. Add whipped topping. Crush the cookies and fold the pieces into the pudding mixture. Stir in fruit and marshmallows. Chill well.

My thoughts: Very sweet salad. Could be used as a dessert! Sweet Salads are sometimes known also as "Sunday Salads."

Serve it with: This is a great pot-luck dish because with pot-luck dinners there are usually so many things to choose from you're most likely going to find something to balance out the sweetness of this salad.
